After
more than 30 years as the leader of the "Irish Rovers",
more than 8 million albums sold worldwide, 2 monstrous hits in "The
Unicorn" and "Wasn't That A Party", and a career
that has given him a CBC television show, and has taken him to Carnegie
Hall, the Sydney Opera House and around the world more times than
he can count, Millar now focuses some of that intense energy to
creating a definitive and beautiful instrumental Celtic Music collection
on the Chacra label.
Will
says: "My father played the button key accordion and he was
full of all those old melodies, and the Irish Rovers over the years
have sung those melodies, with words, but I always felt the words
got in the way of those beautiful melodies".
